Strongate Cottage is a delightful “chocolate box” thatched cottage with a pretty garden, set on our small working beef farm in a peaceful, rural, and secluded spot down a long winding lane.  It’s the perfect retreat for relaxing, unwinding, and exploring Dorset’s beautiful landscapes. Ideal for couples, families, or a small group of friends – and we’re pet friendly too.

The Jurassic Coast at West Bay and the South West Coast Path are just a 10-minute drive away. Our nearest town, Bridport, is renowned for its vibrant twice-weekly street market and wonderful independent shops. Charmouth, famous for fossil hunting, and charming Lyme Regis are around 20 minutes from the cottage.

Strongate Cottage is a traditional thatched cottage in a peaceful location, a perfect escape for up to 4 guests to a country and rural retreat.

Located on a small working farm with cows, calves, ducks, geese, stream and spring water. The cottage sleeps four, is traditional in layout and is heated by night storage heaters. The cottage is situated 3 miles north of Bridport, down a winding country lane, has a pretty garden with wooden garden furniture.
