Seals, otters and a variety of sea birds are regularly seen from the caravans, as well as the occasional visit by dolphins and porpoises.
In “The Bothy” there is Wifi, a washing machine, tumble drier, books, DVD's, barbeques, charcoal, crab lines and local info for your use, plus a small freezer with ready made meals using mainly organic foods, locally sourced venison, burgers, sausages, black pudding, haggis and creel caught seafood for the more adventurous to create their own dishes! With a bit of notice though, you can get freshly caught lobsters, crabs, scallops and prawns from the Luing fishermen.
Located just 16 miles south of Oban which takes around 35 minutes to drive on our roads, Glasgow is a bit further, being 3 hours away but not too far.
"Belnahua", the Luing car ferry, runs Monday to Saturday between 7.30am and 6.00pm and on a Sunday between 11.00am and 6.00pm.
There is a passenger ferry that runs in the evenings until 10pm (not Sunday) and in the Summer months the "Belnahua" also runs in the evenings.
A holiday on Luing has all the attractions of a Scottish Island holiday with all the amenities the main land has to offer within easy access.
