Cheddar Mendip Heights, Townsend, Priddy, Wells, Somerset

The gorgeous Cheddar Club Site is set in the heart of the beautiful Mendip Hills, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's an ideal base to explore the area for walking, cycling, caving and rock climbing activities. 

The well laid out site has excellent shower and toilet facilities, including a family room, plus a laundry and a well-stocked licensed shop selling local produce. Special rates are available for backpackers arriving on foot or by bike. There are two well-equipped holiday caravans for hire, each sleeping up to six people. 

You can walk to the village or Priddy where you'll find a popular pub serving food just 3/4 mile from the site and the Priddy Good Farm Shop, selling a range of locally produced meats and home-made pies. Priddy also hosts a popular folk festival in July and other events throughout the year. There are also many other pubs and restaurants in the local area. 

There are many attractions in Somerset and the surrounding area including Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, Glastonbury, Longleat Safari Park and the cities of Bath and Wells are waiting to be explored.
