Silecroft lies in a beautiful, little known corner, of the Lake District National Park, a unique area where the Lakeland mountains meet the sea. The picturesque whitewashed village nestles in dramatically contrasting surroundings dominated to the East, by Black Combe mountain, and to the West, the long and sandy Silecroft beach.
The surrounding countryside is rich in flora and fauna and also frequently enjoys better weather conditions than any other part of the National Park. The area provides an idyllic atmosphere to sit back and enjoy the relaxed friendly pace of life or visit some of the many and varied attractions in the Lake District, only a stones throw away.
Over many years, Andrew and Anna Vaughan have developed the Holiday Home Park at Silecroft, set in 12 acres of landscaped grass, into a delightful haven amidst the beauty of the Lake District National Park.
A new leisure complex provides a heated Indoor Swimming Pool, Spa Pool and Children's paddling Pool, Multi-Gym, Scandinavian Sauna and Jacuzzi.
Adjacent to the park lies a 9 hole picturesque golf course which runs alongside the beach, a pony trekking centre is nearby and for the more energetic, there are tennis courts as well as an adventure playground in Silecroft village.
At night one can enjoy the good food and traditional surroundings of the village's country pub or travel the short distance to Broughton, a quaint French like town, where there is a good selection of quality restaurants.
