Our lovely holiday caravan is a luxury Gold standard 37ft x12ft, 2 bedroom/ 6 berth Willerby Cottage, which is double glazed, has full central heating, 2 bathrooms, a separate kitchen and lounge and outside there is an attractive south facing patio.
For added luxury all the bed linen is provided and the beds are made up ready for your arrival. And to help you settle in a 'welcome pack' of tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits and milk are provided for a welcoming cuppa, so the relaxation starts as soon as you walk through the door!
The Lounge - The lounge comprises of comfy seating with fold-out double bed; a new 'flame effect' electric fire; 21" Digital colour TV; DVD/VCR combi with DVDs and VHS feature films; mini hi-fi (radio/cassette/CD) with music CDs, and a wide selection of books.
Kitchen/ Dining Area - The kitchen includes a Range Style gas cooker; microwave; fridge/ freezer; kettle; toaster; steamer; sandwich toaster; all the cooking equipment/utensils and crockery/glasses for 6 people (hand & tea towels provided). The dining area has a freestanding wooden dining table and 6 chairs.
Master Bedroom - The master bedroom has a full size double divan bed; dressing table and mirror; 14" colour TV/ DVD combi; large walk-in wardrobe and En-Suite with shower unit, vanity sink and toilet (hand towels provided).
Twin Bedroom - This bedroom has 2 freestanding single beds/double bed; dressing table and mirror; 14" colour TV; games console with 2 handsets and games; a selection of family board games and a selection of children’s books.
Main Bathroom - The main bathroom has a shower unit, wash basin and toilet (hand towels provided).
Utility Cupboard - The utility cupboard houses the combination boiler, cleaning equipment, vacuum cleaner, iron and a folding ironing board.
Patio - Outside there is a wooden patio set, charcoal kettle BBQ, and wooden planters providing privacy screening.
The Park
There is so much to do and see on the park and our caravan is ideally placed between the great facilities of the park and access to the glorious sandy beaches.
The heated indoor and outdoor pools are fabulous and have features like aqua scooters and swimming lessons. With loads of outdoor sports such as soccer, basketball, archery, fencing as well as go-karts, mini tenpin bowling and fun palace (ball pool), the whole family has it all at Golden Sands.
The children will never be bored at Golden Sands; there are clubs for tots to teens, shows, fancy dress competitions and much more. The Funstar team do a great job of keeping all the children amused each and every day.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served in the complex. You will also find a supermarket, fish & chip shop, launderette, telephones, post boxes and cash machines on site. A fishing lake is also available on site (rod licence required) and a golf course is just a short drive away.
The Local Area
Mablethorpe's award winning blue-flag beach is only 3 minutes walk away from the caravan, where you can sunbathe, make sand castles, fly kites or have a paddle in the sea. Ride the Sand Train and arrive at Mablethorpe's classic sea front promenade or take the road train or bus in to town passing the Loewen Cinema showing all the latest releases.
In town there’s the Dunes Family Entertainment Centre - a real seaside fairground with all of the family favourites; rides, games, stalls and arcades, plus plenty of traditional foods. Low cost entertainment for all ages. There's also Queens Park, a boating lake, a play ground area and paddling pool as well as fabulous fish & chips from Robin Hood chip shop on Golf Road. Restaurants in the town include Chinese, Indian and Pizza takeaways, so no need to cook!!!
The Seal sanctuary is well worth a visit and the annual favourite. And then there's the Ferryboat pub - a welcome stop at any time of the day!
