Pendine has local pubs, several shops, restaurants and cafe's & takeaways, grocery stores, museum and a very cheap launderatte Whilst the site itself is nice and peaceful it also has plenty to offer all ages with a lively entertainment complex called 'The Sands' that hosts nightly cabaret acts plus other entertainment, kid's clubs for all ages, an indoor heated swimming pool, as well as a quieter pub called 'The Duck Inn' that overlooks a children's play area. There is also a recently refurbished gym for those staying on site - available on request. Pendine is ideally situated to make the most of South Wales as it nestles between Pembroke and Carmarthen where there are unlimited attractions to suit all tastes. It is an excellent base to see the many other beautiful beaches and towns like Amroth, saundersfoot and the medieval town of Tenby which are only a short drive or bus ride away and it is a favourite destination for walkers taking in the stunning scenery. Folly Farm is a wonderful day out for all ages and has plenty to do even if the weather isn't too good. We have two young children and find this a wonderfull place to go without braking the bank. Oakwood Park is an excellent value for money theme park that has some superb high-thrill rides. In addition to these there are plenty of outdoor pursuit centres for horse riding, paint balling, karting and other themed parks such as Tenby's Dinosaur Park, a chocolate making factory, craft shops, along with many castles and National Trust places to visit, including Colby Gardens and a Gold Mine as well as manor houses and museums including Dylan Thomas' Boat House in Laugharne.
