Brecon 2 is a 35’x12’ caravan set on one of Quay West’s prime pitches. It has a breathtaking direct, unbroken view across Cardigan Bay and New Quay's lovely harbour and old stone Quay. Dolphins and seals may be seen in the bay, and on clear days the view takes in the Lleyn Peninsula.

Ours is an older caravan, with traditional seating around the sitting room windows, but being a Pemberton it's sturdy, well designed and built to last.  It's extremely spacious and comfortable and has recently been improved, with double-glazed doors and windows and new carpetting throughout.

When you enter Brecon 2 you find yourself in a proper hallway, with coat hooks, room for shoes and boots, and a corner broom/storage cupboard containing beach mats, buckets and spades, balls etc. A portable colour TV and Freeview box are provided in the sitting room, which has a gas fire.  The kitchen has a gas cooker, microwave & fridge. There are electric heaters in the bedrooms and bathroom. A selection of books, games and jigsaws are provided.

The caravan has a spacious sitting room and separate kitchen/ diner, a shower/ hip bath room and separate toilet/ washbasin. It has a twin bedroom and a roomy master bedroom with super dressing area.   A convertible double dinette bed in the dining area brings capacity to 6. On top of this, the dressing area can fit a travel cot, and at times we have ourselves had children & teenagers in sleeping bags on the lounge seating which is quite deep. We are prepared to consider this for larger families as long as the furniture is treated with care.

Undoubtedly the caravan's greatest draw, which brings back many "regulars" time and time  again,  is the stunning view.   It's completely unspoilt, with no caravans between you and the harbour and bay.   This is a place to chill out and just soak in the natural beauty.  There is direct access to the beach from just below the caravan. You can walk to Cei Bach in one direction, and at low tide to New Quay beach and harbor in the other, where you can take a boat trip, shop, or just relax on the quay watching the boats come and go and looking out for dolphins.

Quay West itself is a large and well-designed site. Facilities include indoor & outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, multi-courts & crazy golf, and indoor games including pool, snooker and darts. For younger children there is a splash zone, adventure playground & Bradley Bear club; for older children & teenagers there are Teen Challenge activities. Indoor entertainments include wide-screen TV and live acts, bars & restaurant. There is also a takeaway, supermarket/gift shop & laundrette.

Passes to the complex and other facilities can be purchased on site, though if we have any left over from our allowance of annual owners' passes we provide one per family booking at the height of the season until passes run out.

Fuel is included in the booking fee.  Duvets and pillows are provided: you will need to bring your own bedlinen, towels and teatowels.

This is a no-smoking caravan and we cannot take pets due to allergy.

Short breaks are available and weekly bookings do not have to be Sat-Sat.

No same-sex bookings means no groups of partying youngsters.   We are happy to let to mature friends, same-sex relatives, etc.

Park Information

On the beautiful West Wales coast, the lovely Quay West Holiday Park is perfect for sea air, sea views and a free and easy holiday. There are fabulous river and woodland walks nearby, and scenic hill trekking to boot. Don’t miss the lovely harbour at New Quay, or an uplifting dolphin boat trip.

Feel free to fill each day in just your own way. Every family is different of course, but a typical day might begin with a lazy lie in or a family Wake 'n' Shake session. It could be a morning in the indoor and outdoor pool complexes, or trying your hand at Mini-Golf or Archery.

And then...

Lunch out at a great little pub or pop into our Café Bar & Grill. Afternoon try the Sports Court, explore New Quay or enjoy a relaxing game of Bowlingo. Early evening enjoy a stroll on the beach, take the nature walk or a barbecue. Then head off to the ShowBar for a drink, live music and dancing. So, whether it's out and about or staying on the Park, you're sure to have a great holiday at Quay West.
