The caravan is in a quiet part of the site with excellent views of Thornwick Bay.
The lounge has two comfortable settees. The 3-seater settee converts into a small double bed (by prior agreement with owners) The flame-effect electric fire gives a lovely glow at night. The 42in flat screen tv has Freeview channels. There is a KB sound system built in to connect to your personal music device such as an ipad and there are 2 USB sockets available.
XThe kitchen area has a microwave, gas cooker, full-size fridge freezer, slow cooker and toaster. There are plenty of pots and pans, crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils.
The large master bedroom has a king-size bed, double wardrobe, dressing table and stool and lots of extra storage space. A hairdryer is available. There is an en-suite toilet and wash basin.
The second bedroom has twin beds, wardrobe and cupboards.
The bathroom has a large shower cubicle, toilet, wash basin and vanity unit.
The verandah has a table and chairs for relaxing and enjoying the view.
Although 7 day bookings are quoted, it may be possible to book Monday to Friday.
Thornwick Bay Holiday Village
The park has been greatly improved by Haven in the last few years and has a Showbar with live entertainment provided by the resident entertainment staff plus visiting artists/bands. The beautiful Lighthouse Restaurant opens out to a large decked patio leading down to a children's play area. The indoor swimming pools are well-equipped with a safe play area for small children and.slides etc. Swimming lessons and canoeing can be booked if required. There is a gym, jacuzzi and sauna. A good-sized shop, cafe and laundrette are available. Cycles and segways can be hired. Many different activities are available if you are looking for a fun-packed family holiday. Leisure passes can be purchased from the office to enable you to make full use of the facilities.
Thornwick Bay Holiday Village is in an ideal location adjacent to the magnificent chalk cliffs, picturesque bays, caves, and seabird colonies. The village of Flamborough is a short walk away and is full of character. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in and around the village.
The area is noted for its natural beauty and is perfect for birdwatchers and walkers. The RSPB seabird colony at Bempton is only a few miles walk up the coastal pathway but can also be visited by driving north towards Filey.
Nearby is the family seaside resort of Bridlington with its beautiful sandy beaches. It has a bustling harbour and sea front with lots to do for all ages. The historic Old Town area is well worth a visit. It 'became' Warmington-on-Sea for the filming of the recent Dad's Army film.
Half-way between Flamborough and Bridlington is Sewerby Hall. The house and grounds have been transformed in the last few years to provide an interesting and enjoyable day out for all the family. The house is a living museum of life in the Victorian era providing an insight into the lives of the the owners and their servants. It also has section devoted to the life of Amy Johnson. The extensive grounds include a zoo, walled garden, cafe, shop and nature walks.
