Two identical, very well equipped and spotlessly clean static caravans, the only 2 situated in a secluded area on a small, quiet adults only touring site, close to Wimbleball Lake on the edge of Exmoor National Park. A unique setting for those who don't want to be on a large park with clubs or games rooms, perfect for couples looking for a quiet, relaxing break ( no children under 18yrs allowed on site) and ideal as a base to tour the beautiful area. Well behaved dogs are welcome free of charge.
Each caravan has a spacious double bedroom with plenty of cupboard space, clock/radio and hairdryer, with access directly into the shower room and a smaller twin room. Good sized, well equipped kitchen with plenty of cooking utensils. Comfortable lounge area with dining table, flat screen 20" TV, DVD player, CD player, plenty of DVD's, books and games. Free wi fi access on site. Outside there is a patio with table and chairs, the caravans are tucked away at one end of the site with views of the countryside and are surrounded by a grassed area with trees, shrubs and birds feeding on site.
Wonderful walking country, lots of tourist information including books, maps and guides to help you plan your day or walking route.
Next to the site is a traditional Country Inn serving good food and local ales and also allows dogs inside. There is a small shop on site which stocks essential items and local produce including fresh milk, free range eggs, butter, cheese, Exmoor honey and ice creams, as well as the local butcher's own bacon, sausages and burgers. Guests may use other facilities on site including , tourist information, library/book exchange, laundry, freezer, dog walk and showers. Barbecues are allowed.
Nearby attractions include, Wimbleball Lake, Clatworthy reservoir, Blue Anchor Bay, Dunster Castle, Knightshayes Court, Tiverton horse drawn canal trips, Torre Cider farm, Cleeve Abbey, Hestercombe Gardens, Tarr Steps, Minehead and The West Somerset Steam Railway. There are numerous off road cyling routes and fishing, windsurfing and sailing are available on Wimbleball Lake.
