Luxury 6 berth, 3 bedrooom caravan located on The Orchards, Haven Holiday Park site near the historic village of St Osyth, a suburb location close to Clacton-On-Sea on the Essex coastline.
The caravan boasts a good size, very comfortable living area with free standing furniture, an electric feature fire, a flat screen TV complete with Freeview and a built in CD/DVD player. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, eating & cooking utensils, a microwave, kettle, toaster, full hob, oven and fridge/ freezer. The main bedroom has a double bed with built in mirrored wardrobes and there are two further twin rooms with built in wardrobes. Both twin rooms have free standing twin beds that can be pushed together if so desired. There is a shower room with a good size shower which has a thermostatic control and a separate WC.
The caravan is double glazed and centrally heated throughout (including all bedrooms, shower room & WC) via radiators all with individual thermostatic controls. There is a large decking area to the side of the van with a lockable gate which makes it an ideal & safe place for young children to play. The decking area is equipped with an outdoor BBQ, table (with parasol) & chairs where you can sit, relax and enjoy the peaceful sunny location. There is parking bay for one car only, so please bear this in mind when making travel arrangements.
This is a modern, comfortable van rated as a "Prestige" rental by Haven and located in a friendly but QUIET part of the park, yet just 10 minutes walk from the main entertainment complex (for which passes are required). There is also a SPAR on site by (but not in) the main complex for any last minute grocery needs and within 5 mins walk of the van is a Chinese Take-Away, there is also a Pappa Johns Pizza parlour who will deliver. A few minutes walk, but separate from the park, is the Ferryboat Inn which is an old style pub, complete with old world ambiance, charm, entertainment and a child friendly beer garden for those nice sunny afternoons. Please note that the Ferryboat Inn is NOT part of the park site and is therefore free from any of the park restrictions & liabilities.
The nearby bustling town of Clacton-on-Sea with its miles of golden sandy beach, shops, many amusements, cinema, beautiful gardens and its famous historic fun-packed pier with rides and attractions is a must. At Clacton you can build sandcastles with the kids, stroll on the pier, take a pleasure flight from the airfield or shop for great offers at Clacton Factory Shopping Village. There’s a spectrum of outdoor events, including the spectacular Clacton Air Show in August with its breathtaking flying displays. There are many beaches in the vacinity with miles of golden sandy coastline and the area also offers the option of a number of water sports at the nearby beach or just pleasant walks along the Nature Reserve & beach area.
The ancient Roman city of Colchester (England's oldest recorded town) is steeped in history with its historical Colchester Castle which is situated in it’s own park with dungeons and historical museum. Colchester also boasts a wealth of shops and boutiques which are well worth exploring … and of course it is also the home of the renowned Colchester Zoo. All this, not to mention just being able to take a drive though the surrounding countryside that is full of beautiful old English villages which will make your holiday a very relaxing and pleasurable experience.
All bed linen, duvets & pillows will be supplied, however, please bring your own tea towels & towels ~ although if required, these can be supplied for an additional charge, please ask.
Site passes are NOT included in the holiday booking, but these can be purchased from the site Reception at an additional, but reasonable cost. Please enquire if you would like us to arrange passes for you. Passes are required for entry into the park entertainment complex and for any of the park run activities, although they are not needed for any of the walks along the front, beach area, the on-site shops or for the Ferryboat Inn.
