The caravan is located on Trelay Parkfarm Holiday Site, Pelynt, near Looe in Cornwall. It is a quiet family site with no club, pub or swimming pool. It has a four star rating from the English tourist board. See their website.

A reservation fee of £50 is required on confirming a booking. This is non refundable. The balance in full is payable no less than 4 weeks before arrival. Once paid a refund will only be made on production of a medical certificate or similar. This refund will be 75% up to 3 weeks, 50%up to 2 weeks, 25%up to one week. Less than one week no refund will be made. You are advised to ensure that you have insurance to cover any such loss.

 Please note you are not permitted to smoke within the caravan.

It is a well equipped caravan which offers home comfort in the lounge area. All the original bench seating has been removed and replaced with a two seat settee with adjustable headrests and two comfortable arm chairs.

A table and four dining chairs replaces the original bench seat dining area. This has been followed with a complete refit of the lounge area. Hence the caravan itself is now only equipped to cater for four persons.

The kitchen has a full gas oven along with electric toaster, kettle and microwave with grill. There is a full fridge freezer as opposed to a fridge with an ice box.

The main bedroom has now also been enlarged and measures 11ft 6in by 10ft at its widest points. This now gives very comfortable space around the bed which is 4ft 6inch wide. The double wardrobe and small dressing table are still as standard. The second bedroom remains at this time as standard. It has two 2ft 6inch wide beds and a single wardrobe. The small bathroom has been reconfigured and a new washbasin and vanity unit fitted. The shower area has been redecorated. There is no other bedroom or sleeping accommodation.

There is a 16ft by 8ft decked area to the front of the caravan with table and two chairs. This decked area continues on down the side of the caravan to the far end where there is a further large area of decking available.

The whole is approached via a very shallow ramp which gives very easy access for anyone with limited mobility or difficulty climbing steps or who needs to use an electric scooter or wheelchair to gain access to the caravan.

However please note the doors of the caravan both internal and access from outside are still standard width and may not permit entry if you are in a wheelchair permanently. It is not therefore suitable for a person who is wheelchair bound. Please ask re suitability. I am disabled myself and can advise on most aspects. 

For addition convenience all taps within the caravan have been changed for one quarter turn lever taps. Duvet’s and two pillows per person are provided but you will need to bring your own sheets, pillow cases and towels. If you prefer you can hire sheets and pillow cases. But you must pre arranges this with the site. Contact Carol at reception.

Trelay Farm Park is located just outside the village of Pelynt which is between Looe and Polperro in Cornwall. It is very well kept and maintained by Keith and Carol who will be only too happy to assist you with any problems. There are no onsite facilities other than a laundry and during the peak season Carol runs a fast food van in the evenings. The nearest beach is Talland bay which is just over 5 minuets by car. The road to this beach is very narrow and parking is limited. The most accessible beach is probably at Looe, just 3 miles away. You can also take a boat trip or do a little shark fishing from here. There are also many other fine beaches within the area.

For those of you who prefer to tour, The Eden Project is only ten miles away as the crow flies. More by road of course. Around 20 miles by the shortest route. The Crealy Great Adventure Park just outside Wadebridge is just over 20 miles. Plymouth is 20 miles away. Other places of interest with approximate mileage are, on the north coast The Royal Cornwall Show Ground 24mls, Padstow 28mls, picturesque Polzeath 25mls, Newquay and Perranporth approx30mls. Nearer, Bodmin Moor is only 10mls, the famous Jamaica Inn at Bolventor 15mls. The car ferry at Fowey is 6mls away. A little further away, Truro can be reached in 45 minutes and the historic port of Falmouth in approx 1 hour.

For your shopping requirements the nearest large supermarket is at Liskard some 12 miles away. However there are shops and several small supermarkets in Looe itself. Nearer still and within the village of Pelynt just half a mile away are two stores. The first is a Spar shop which also contains a post office. Very well stocked with almost all you would require for your stay. Newspapers along with hot pies and pasties are also available. The second is a Premier store, smaller than the Spar, but it does have an excellent butcher where you can obtain all you require in the way of fresh meat. Excellent local steaks, home made sausages, beef burgers and boiled ham etc are all available.

For those who prefer to eat out there is a restaurant in the village “The Dagger” see web site. An excellent place to eat. There is also a pub, The Jubilee Inn, which serves meals etc. Both of these are just around a one half mile walk.
